Ekta Kaul is an award winning textile designer based in London. Her textiles celebrate a pared down aesthetic, simplicity & timeless style. Sumptuous silks, fine wools & soft cashmeres are embroidered, hand-dyed and printed in simple graphic compositions using time-honoured methods. Ekta creates bespoke quilts based on city maps & small editions of scarves in bold colours.

Ekta's Multiway scarves are designed in such a way that they can be draped in multiple ways by using the silk buttons and loops. This functional detail allows the wearer to create bespoke drapes.
Ekta studied Fashion at India’s premier design school the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, founded on Charles & Ray Eames design manifesto. She is a British Council scholar & came to the UK to study MA Textiles. Since setting up her studio practice after graduating, Ekta has gained the following of a discerning audience. Stockists include Contemporary Applied Arts, Designers Guild, Ruthin Craft Centre, Bluecoat Design Centre among others. She has received awards from the Crafts Council and the Arts Council, England & was nominated for the Arts Foundation Fellowship in 2010. She works from her studio in Bloomsbury, London

Each scarf is individually hand-dyed and hand-printed in bold colours. The linear pattern is designed in such a way that both ends of the scarf look subtly different.
